A Scottish lassie who is currently a podcast consultant, producer & presenter.
About me.Hi, I'm Gabrielle Corbett, I recently moved back to Scotland for a better work-life balance after living in London for the last 7 years.
This podcast was an effort to challenge myself and the music industry. We know that women are underrepresented in music, but we are in music. Women in music are doing amazing things, we should share our experiences more, inspire and celebrate each other. Plus, an excuse to chat to some friends I've made, celebrate them and share what we know to hopefully make the industry more accessible and transparent. |
Why I started the podcast.I started the podcast to field my own curiosity and thought others may find it interesting. I had no idea what I was doing, I'd never recorded a podcast, edited or how to distribute it. But I thought, well, why not just hack away, share my learnings as I go and make mistakes.
I personally produce, record and design the entire platform having no prior knowledge of podcasting. I design all the graphic assets for the podcast and also built the website. So far, I have produced 31 episodes with more in the pipeline. Its peak chart position on the Apple Music Podcast chart in the UK was #67, Romania #29, Japan #203 and Thailand #239. |
Interests.I love to collaborate and keep creative. Hence, why I started my my bi- weekly podcast Bitesize Bodacious Babes (a podcast by women in music).
Digital technology is also passion of mine and recently I enrolled on a paid 8 Week intensive UX/UI Design course. We are working on a live client brief which includes competitor research, building personas, ideation, user flows, usability testing, design thinking, presenting our final project and road maps. Also love; surfing, nature hikes, painting, tech, music, traveling, swimming, cycling, running, website building and podcasting. |
